始まりは1998年に当時のサローネ社長、アルメリーニ氏から次世代の人材＆製品発掘の仕組みを何か考えてとの指示で、M.グリッフィン氏が創設したのがサローネ・サテリテ。ロンドンの100%デザインはこれをマネしたもの。今回のテーマは「可能性を構築するプロセス、進捗、実践」、具体的には,どこに行くの？と問いかけてる。
It all started in 1998, when Mr. Armerini, president of Salone at the time, asked me to come up with a system for discovering next-generation human resources and products. Salone Satellite was founded by Ms. M. Griffin. 100% design in London imitates this. The theme this time is”BUILDING THE im POSSIBLE Process, Progress, Practice”. Specifically, Where are you going?
２等は香港の Ryte スタジオのTriplex スツール。同じパーツを3つ組合せた持続可能な木繊維から作られてる。３等はベルギーのアホクペ+シャタリンのクドアゾ・ハンモック。アフリカで廃棄物として捨てられるはずだった、ほぐされたセーターの糸を使用。特別賞は韓国のウェンレのプリミティブ構造のコーヒーテーブル。もう一つの特別賞はベネズエラのフラグメンタリオのアボカド種で出来たレンガ
The Second prize is Ryte studio in Hong Kong for Triplex stool, a handy, essential, easy to move stool,
made from sustainable wood fibre. The third prize goes to Ahokpe + Chatalin, present at SaloneSatellite with Belgium is design,for the Kudoazò hammock, obtained with yarns from undone sweaters that would otherwise end up as waste in Africa. Another mention to the Korean Weonrhee for the Primitive Structure coffee table, and Avocado seed brick from the Venezuelan Fragmentario.
世界中の大学から選ばれた23の大学の内、日本からは我が母校の武蔵野美術大学が選ばれていた。卒業生の作品の紹介。以前、ここに出展経験のある同校デザイン科の主任教授、山中氏の指導で選定されたものが並んでいた。鉛筆の芯を削った時に出来るカスをそのままランプシェードに活用したのはSerpener はNanako Kumeさん。壁によりかけたイスはKonoha Ishi さん @nanakokunme__@oishii.pic @kazuhiro_yamanaka @musabi_koho
Musashino Art University, my alma mater, was selected from Japan out of 23 universities selected from all over the world. Introduction of the work of graduates-to-be students. Items selected under the guidance of Mr. Yamanaka, chief professor of the school’s design department who had experience exhibiting here before, were lined up. Nanako Kume used the shavings left over from sharpening the lead of a pencil as a lampshade. The chair leaning against the wall is Konoha Ishi.
